In 2001, current directors Chris Shannon and Anita Gibson established E-NEWS DIRECT with a vision to deliver to the Australian business landscape the next generation of intelligent marketing tools, made possible through the advent of the Internet.
E-NEWS DIRECT was formed at a time when most Australian businesses were unaware of the considerable advantages permission-based email marketing could provide over traditional methods. In fact, there were no other Australian-based email communications agencies on the horizon at that time.
Significant resources were invested in the research and development of our products, along with their 'best practice' usage. E-NEWS DIRECT set out to provide Australian businesses with logical, results-driven
email marketing tools built to optimise the advantages of the Internet and email for their marketing purposes, locally and abroad.
The outcome has been a successful range of email marketing tools that enable E-NEWS DIRECT clients to meet and exceed their marketing objectives whilst giving them measurable competitive advantages.

With his career background in the printing industry, Chris Shannon understands how the high production cost of direct mail and its
fulfillment, combined with many other practical limitations of traditional marketing methods, continue to negatively impose on businesses. Putting back the ‘competitive advantage’ for Australian business is vital to him. Chris brings a strong knowledge of the sales process and emphasises the importance of developing effective, result-driven e-marketing strategy at the commencement of every E-NEWS DIRECT client relationship.
Anita Gibson - Director
Anita Gibson began her career as a manager in a national chain of retail outlets. Strongly focused on brand promotion, product positioning and customer service, Anita worked her way to Sales and Marketing Manager for an Australian-based giftware company exporting Australian made products to both the UK and America. It was in this role that she became interested in the obvious potential and cost advantages that email and the Internet could provide as marketing tools for Australian businesses. Anita heads up the creative team at E-NEWS DIRECT, managing and assisting our many gifted designers and programmers deliver beyond our clients’ expectations.
